U.S CITIZEN RELEASED BY ZIMBABWE COURT
Sometime in November 2017, a U.S citizen named Martha O'Donovan was charged to court for insulting the former Zimbabwe President, Robert Mugabe.
According to reports, Martha had called Robert Mugabe a selfish and sick man on twitter. She was charged for undermining his person and for an attempt to dethrone the government of Zimbabwe which attracts a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. She was granted bail in November 2017 after denying the charges against her and for a fact that there was no evidence to prove her guilty. After much deliberations without evidence, the court on Thursday dismissed the case and returned her electronic gadgets like; computers, mobile phones, etc.
Martha's lawyers expressed pleasure at the court's fulfilment of their promise to carry their judgment based on merit.
