DIETING ACCORDING TO YOUR BLOOD TYPE
It’s a new week and I have some
super information to share. Last week I learned something that is mind blowing
about dieting. I took my research further and have decided to share with you guys. Now,
when it comes to dieting what applies to A does not apply B based on our
respective blood type. This theory was brought forward by Dr. Peter D’Adamo who
is of the opinion that the same diet cannot apply to all. While he encourages
people to eat certain foods, he equally discourages people from eating certain
foods because our blood types affect our digestive system. Hence, what is good
for a person with type A blood can be dangerous to a person with type B blood.
The food carts below shows what
food to eat and what food to avoid for blood type O, A, B, and AB:
DIET FOR TYPE O
Representatives
of blood type O have a good digestive system and easier cleave proteins of
animal origin, so most are recommended to consume meat. Besides meat, they are
advised to consume fruits and vegetables, and to reduce consumption of
carbohydrates to a minimum. Best diets for blood type O are those that contain
a lot of protein and little carbohydrate, and avoid the consumption of dairy
products.
People
with this blood type are susceptible to certain diseases like ulcers and
thyroid problems. People in this group have much higher levels of stomach acid
than others. They also, often suffer from fatigue, fluid retention in the body
and weight gain.
Some
believe that blood type affects the character. It is believed that
representatives of this blood type are responsible, have leadership
skills, organized, decisive, objective and practical. But when they are under
stress, they show signs of anger, hyperactivity and impulsivity.

PHYSICAL EXERCISE
D’Adamo recommends people in this category to
practice more regular exercise 3-4 times a week, because their physical and
mental health depends more on it, compared with people of other blood types.
For best results, representatives of blood type O should do aerobic exercises
30-45 minutes at least 4 times a week.
Besides diet and exercise
recommendations, D’Adamo provides additional tips to people with blood group O
on how can improve their lives:
·
Eat every meal sitting on the table and chew
the food slowly.
·
Exercise regulary at least 3-4 times a week.
·
Whenever you are upset, start a physical
activity.
·
Do not waste a lot of money and do not bring
important decisions when you are under stress.
·
Make yourself clear concrete plan for
stewardship (monthly plan, annual plan).
·
When making changes in lifestyle, make them
gradually, not suddenly.
DIET FOR TYPE A
Those in this category are in
their best when they practice vegetarian diet. They are advised to avoid meat
and dairy products. People with this blood type have sensitive digestive system
and it is difficult to process animal proteins.

PHYSICAL EXECERISE:
According
to D’Adamo’s theory, people in this category have higher levels of
cortisol, so it is difficult for them to cope with stress. He recommends that
they exercise at least three times a week for a period of 30-45 minutes. If
they choose to do aerobic exercises with weights, then they should be careful
not to overdo, because it may increase their stress levels.
D’Adamo also provides the
following recommendations for people with type A blood:
·
Do not skip breakfast and eat more often but
smaller meals.
·
Eat more proteins to start the day and less at
night.
·
Do not eat when you are nervous and anxious.
·
Chew the food slowly to help the body to digest
it quickly.
·
In order to avoid an increasing in cortisol
levels and reduce mental fatigue, it is necessary to restrict residence in
large crowds of people, to avoid noise, not to smoke, to stand away from strong
odors from perfumes and do not watch movies and shows with violence.
·
Make yourself a daily schedule and stick to it.
Determine what time you’re going to bed and every day by reference to the
bedroom at the time.
·
Make at least two breaks of 20 minutes while
you are at work.
DIET FOR TYPE B
According
Peter D’Adamo, people in this category can eat many different types of
food without any problems.
They have a good digestive
system, but should avoid wheat, corn, buckwheat, lentils, tomatoes, peanuts and
sesame seeds if they want to avoid pilling pounds. These products have a
negative influence on the effectiveness of metabolism and contribute to the
onset of fatigue, fluid retention in the body and decrease the level of blood
sugar after meals. For this blood type chicken should be on the list of
forbidden foods. The list of foods that encourage attenuation are green
vegetables, eggs, “good” meats (lamb, rabbit, deer, sheep) and milks and dairy
products with low fat.
People
with blood type B are susceptible
to certain diseases such as autoimmune disorders, lupus, multiple sclerosis,
chronic fatigue syndrome. D’Adamo believes that representatives of this blood
group more than the other can reduce the risk of disease and be in top form if
they adhere to proper diet.
It
is thought that people with blood
type B are creative, innovative, flexible, communicative and
subjective. They have a very strong intuition.

PHYSICAL EXERCISES
People
with blood type B have to practice physical exercises
that simultaneously challenge both the mind and the body, ie need to find a
balance between exercises and meditation intensive physical exercise. The
stress is hard for them and they need more time to recover from stressful
situations. That’s why meditation is very important. Also, it is good practice
to do activities involving other people.
Recommended
activities: tennis, martial arts, hiking, cycling and
golf.
Besides
diet and exercise recommendations, D’Adamo provides additional tips in how to
improve the lives of people with blood type B. Here
are some of them:
·
Make a sleeping plan (when you go to bed and
when you get up) and stick to it. For example, every day I go to bed at 23 pm
and sleep at least 7-8 hours.
·
Every day stating at least 20 minutes of
creative activity that will take all your attention.
·
The best way to relax is meditation.
·
Be spontaneous.
·
Tackle daily crosswords or Sudoku and other
small tasks that require concentration. This will train your brain and reduce
the risk of developing memory problems.
·
Include yourself in charity associations or
groups that will give you the feeling that you are useful to the society.
DIET FOR TYPE AB
According D’Adamo, 4-5% of
people represents this blood type and they are extremely rare. It is the newest
blood type. Most of the food that is bad for blood groups A and B is bad for
blood type AB, but there are exceptions.
Tomatoes, which are not
recommended for blood type B, can be used in the diet of group AB. People with
blood type AB should avoid alcohol and coffee, especially in stressful
situations.
If representatives of this
group want to lose weight, then they need to eat more tofu, seafood, green
vegetables and dairy products and avoid smoked meats.
People with blood type AB are
emotional, friendly and passionate especially when it comes to their beliefs.

PHYSICAL EXERCISE
According to D’Adamo, exercising
is very important to reduce stress and maintain emotional balance in people
with blood group AB. For optimal results, they should combine calming exercises
with more intense exercises. Example: three days a week aerobics and yoga two
days. Practice 45-60 minutes of aerobics at least twice a week.
Recommended
activities: aerobic exercises, cycling, running,
yoga, Tai Chi.
Besides diet and exercise
recommendations, D’Adamo provides additional tips that could make lives better
of people with blood type AB. Here are some of them:
·
Eat several small meals throughout the day
rather than a few large.
·
Avoid situations and events that are
competitive.
·
Make all changes gradually.
·
Spend more time alone. Keep at least one hobby
that you can do it independently of the other.
·
First visualize what you want to achieve, then
take concrete actions.
