MARIAH CAREY AND OPRAH WINFREY ON EMPIRE SEASON 3

The rumored appearances of  Mariah Carey and Oprah Winfrey on the hip-hop drama, Empire has been clarified by Danny Strong,  the co-creator and executive director. He says none of them will be on the show.

According to him,  "None of those people are going to actually be on the show so I can't control what names all of a sudden take off as being guest stars because they're not,".... If anything, Strong says the show will be pulling back on such stunt casting when Empire returns March 30.
"In the second half of the season its going to be way lighter on the celebrity guest stars,".
